Pictured: An example of a deeply unsustainable model of development in action along the shores of Carlingford Lough, as Regen Waste continue to spray unconfirmed chemicals on stinking and reportedly rat-infested bales of waste at Warrenpoint Port. 3/3

We’ve stood with the community in Warrenpoint for years, demanding action on air pollution and public health. Now, as the pressure mounts, some are trying to deflect blame from those responsible by pointing to “illegal immigration” instead of polluters and those in power.

.@regen_ltd’s contribution to local employment is commendable. However, their lack of basic empathy and concern for the health and well-being of local residents is really poor form. A just transition should deliver for communities, not just carbon.

The Lodge in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor. Built in 1716 and pulled down in 1980 after the park was bought by Newry and Mourne Council. Does anyone know why they demolished it?
