Tens of thousands of council houses are empty despite a national housing crisis. Some we’ve found have been vacant for more than 20 years. We’ve been working with @Kwajotweneboa to find out why. Our report here:

An absolute masterclass of a political interview by @StephenNolan just now on @bbc5live - we learned Brexit party MEP Jonathan Bullock does not think the UK should pay £39bn to the EU - but the EU should still pay his pension.

Also worth remembering that despite what politicians say now (and some voters have been persuaded to believe) nobody voted for no deal in 2016. Brexiteers told voters it would be the “easiest deal in human history”.
Political elites over the next few months are going to invoke the Blitz, 1940 and the Second World War repeatedly, appealing to a deep sense of national pride and defiance. Beware of it. If we go for no deal it's a political choice. No-one (unlike WW2) forced it on them.

They drove 270 miles (4.5 hours ish) with a 4 year old in the car. Unless the 4 yr old was driving at least one of them was ok. And if my journeys with kids are anything to go by they probably needed to stop at services about 4 times. With Covid. #cummings.

My amazing sister just put a bag of Easter eggs for my children on the doorstep. We spoke through the window. “Wipe the bag, I’ve washed and gelled my hands but I’ve been on the Covid ward all day ” she said. Then headed off to put her kids to bed. Completely selfless. #NHShero.

Speaking as someone who had anorexia as a teenager the idea of being weighed at school is absolutely horrifying. For children with a tendency towards eating disorders it’s just dangerous. There has to be a better way to tackle childhood obesity.

Brilliant interview by @BethRigby - all these answers now on the record. And unless political editors are treated differently when doing these pool interviews she’ll have had a press officer jabbing her arm, gesturing it’s her last question, from around 5 minutes in. Bravo 👏.
