Somani Hotels has WON its appeal to overturn the temporary ban on asylum seekers being housed at The Bell Hotel in Epping. Migrants there can stay before the decision on a permanent ban is heard in court in October.

The Home Office has WON its right to appeal against the closure of The Bell Hotel in Epping at any future hearing, with judges finding 'the Home Secretary has a clear statutory duty towards asylum seekers in this country' & therefore should be allowed to participate in this case.

I havenโt been live-tweeting the arguments heard today because this is largely a zombie platform but please, if youโd like to read what actually was submitted to court, try one of the reporters I was in court with, rather than inaccurate posts from politicians and activists here.
