I have today informed the chief whip that I am standing down as the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, with immediate effect. It has been an honour to serve as the MP for such a wonderful constituency but it is now time for another to take the reins.

Going to need a few months to process what I saw last night. #JamesNorton - don’t think I’ll ever come to terms with what he put himself through on stage. Possibly the most powerful, uncomfortable theatre I’ve ever experienced & I need to spend the day playing with kittens.
