Affordable housing on Governor's Island (an island w/ no businesses or transit or road access) has to be a joke. The UWS and three other Council districts didn't add a single unit of affordable housing last year. Start there.
Interesting @errollouis interview with Julie Menin. She backs universal child care and free buses and wants to build affordable housing in places like Governor's Island; she opposed ballot measures with the Council but says they'll make it easier to build:

Paul O'Neill doesn't have cancer. The YES Network put out a statement refuting widely circulated Facebook posts pushing the rumor. There was even a fake news story with fake quotes from the Yankees legend and others. READ:
