Excellent work by this officer who is one of my
@BTPSouthYorks
#Doncaster
Calm, controlled, proportionate and measured. I will be recognising his excellent work, and we are reviewing the footage to establish any offences being committed, if there are they will be investigated.
Hugely proud of my
@BTPGtrMcr
team in relation to the Victoria incident.
Completely overwhelmed with the level of support for the officer.
I will ensure the messages are all passed on.
Thanks for your continued support
#ManchesterVictoria
Over the past couple of weeks I have been quieter than usual on here.
I am really pleased that I passed the internal
@BTP
Superintendents process. It was such a tough, competitive process.
Thanks for all the support. I am looking forward to my posting now 👍
Great to see
@BTP
represented at Brighton Pride today.
Loads of opportunities to join us. We want you to apply to be part of a modern, diverse and inclusive police force. 🚔
From Monday, I am delighted to have been asked to take over for a short period as T/Superintendent for our Pennine Sub Division
I can't wait to work again with all of our fantastic teams across the Sub Division
Map below shows the command geography 👇
Police Constable Jessica Bullough was presented with The Queen’s Police Medal – PC Jessica was one of the first responders to arrive at the scene after the Manchester Arena attack, she gave first aid to seriously injured victims and supported and comforted victims overnight.
Powerful image of police running to the scene of an incident in which they don’t know what’s happening. Heroic!!
Proud to be part of the Manchester policing family
Please see below statement.
It is important to remember that often videos don’t capture a full incident.
He has now been charged to court and there are now active criminal proceedings.

I continue in my current role working with my amazing teams who work hard on a daily basis to keep the railway safe.
I want to be really clear
@BTPChief
has my full support.
I will continue to do all I can to call this type of behaviour out. There is no place for this.
Well what can I say. I arrived at training school 19 years ago to start my career with
@BTP
I have had an amazing career and met some fantastic people so far. I have definitely aged though, I started all fresh faced haha 😄
Absolutely delighted to announce that I will be taking over as Temporary Superintendent for Pennine Sub Division.
I have also been given the National Portfolio for Network Policing. An area I absolutely love.
Excited to work with the teams and staff across the division 👍
I still can not believe this picture was taken 20 years ago!
Life goes quickly so live every moment.
More worryingly look at that mobile phone. I am sure that is the earlier Nokia? Lol
#snakegame
I’m on late turn patrol with my
@BTPGtrMcr
team today!
Great bunch of staff and also I found out I passed my chief inspector promotion board.
So pleased and proud to carry on in my role as CI for
@BTPGtrMcr
and
@BTPSouthYorks
It has been such a long,tiring but productive week. 😌
However when you return home after a long day to a hand written letter from
@BTPChief
it does make it worth it!
This is true leadership that means so much especially when I worked so hard in the Supt promotion process. 👍
Well the news is out - not only do I get to stay on a fantastic national project but I am taking over as Chief Inspector for the liverpool district.
I can’t wait to work with
@BTPMersey
@BTPLancs
@BTPCheshire
a place I worked 13 years ago 🥳🥳
Please see the below thread.
Excellent work by our
@BTP
officers. Their bravery and quick reactions undoubtedly prevented serious injuries to someone. Phenomenal arrest 👏
Once the arrests were made by our officers, we then handed over the incident to
@PrestonPolice
Male

#CountyLines
Task Force officers (plain clothes, unmarked car) were in standing traffic in

A fantastic evening and a huge thank you to
@merpolchiefcon
for presenting me with this commendation. Lovely to see you again. 👍
I have accepted this commendation on behalf of all of those in
@btp
who assisted me in planning for one of the largest operations in Liverpool.
Officers arrested a male today in Liverpool who was in possession of a quantity of drugs, despicable thing was he hid it under a 4 day old baby 😡😡😡😡😡, baby taken into police protection and in hands of social services. Words fail me.....
Great to be part of the
@BTP
team in place for Aintree races.
My teams are out highly visible at Aintree and across the
@merseyrail
network. The team are also
@NetworkRailLIV

A huge thank you to my protest removal team for supporting
@MerseyPolice
in reopening the motorway as part of mutual aid
M57 traffic delayed 'over an hour' after Grand National protesters occupy road - Liverpool Echo
Two years ago, 22 lives were stolen during the Manchester Arena attack.
Today we remember that dark night, those who died, those who were injured and the courageous work by emergency responders.

Due to social distancing - I won’t see my family today for my birthday, which I will miss.

I thought I had done something wrong lol. 😕 however, incident difused haha.
I absolutely loved meeting PD Fred
@BTPDogs
and his handler Steve in
#Liverpool
@BTPMersey
I had the opportunity to thank Steve for all the hard work he is doing with his explo dog across the railway network in Liverpool to keep staff and passengers safe.
Hugely proud and excited to announce that I have been selected for a temporary secondment to a national project working for
@ACCRobinSmith
starting on the 11th November.
Can’t wait to get started and a huge thank you to all of my teams support.
This has definitely created debate.
Important to realise that our
@BTP
teams attend all different engagement events throughout the year, cultural festivals, village fetes and pride events.
We will continue to engage with all communities to make the railway safe
Great to see
@BTP
represented at Brighton Pride today.
Loads of opportunities to join us. We want you to apply to be part of a modern, diverse and inclusive police force. 🚔
Well done
@BTPLancs
#preston
you got me on this occasion.
Motto of the story don’t leave my warrant card lying around lol 😆
(Refers to one of the first football trains I did and passengers called me spider man) can’t see the resemblance
Sneak preview of a picture taken today for a new video - must be honest team this picture looks like we are about to launch a new police series
@BTP
@BTPMersey
😂😂😂😂😂👮👮♂️👮
A fantastic day as the force silver commander for events.
I love this picture of one of our public order officers engaging with a child.
Love that smile and this is what engagement should be about.
Well done
@BTPOSU
A huge thank you from me to
@BTPChief

@BTPDogs
@BTPSpecials
@BTPOSU
thanks to
@EastMidRailway
for the support as well
@BTPDerbys
great team ethic to keep passengers and staff safe.
I work with heros. Myself and the
@BTPGtrMcr
officers plus the
@MCRMetrolink
staff were in court to hear the summing up.
Powerful footage and shows the bravery of those involved to keep Manchester safe. My job now to continue to focus on their welfare.
Myself and the teams are out on patrol across Manchester Stations
@BTPGtrMcr
Loving the pics of the teams hugely proud especially as there is football,rugby and

Thank you for the extremely kind welcome.
I have taken over as the new T/Chief Inspector for the Manchester district which covers Manchester,Doncaster and Sheffield police posts.
I look forward to updating you all with activity across my district. 👮♂️👮♀️
Absolutely unbelievable that a small minority that use the trains think it is acceptable to carry this into Manchester. Dread to think what would have happened later in the evening. Great arrest.
Well done to
@BTPGtrMcr
proud of you.
#manchester
A sad day for
@BTP
Manchester wishing Sergeant Dave Cawley a fantastic retirement! It was my honour to do his retirement speech.
He will be sadly missed by
@BTPGtrMcr
especially his experience and tireless service.
All the best for the future.
One of my
@BTPSpecials
working with the team
@BTPGtrMcr
was assaulted by a 14 year old.
Arrested, charged with assault. Safeguarding forms done and then dropped off home by different team members.
Officer is okay 👌 just spoke to her this morning
Part of the public order command team today and I wanted to acknowledge that on football days our teams do an exceptional job across the country being highly visible for passengers and staff.

#Newyearshonours
Overwhelmed to have seven BTP officers and staff honoured by Her Majesty the Queen in the New Years Honours.
For distinguised service, or to helping those following the Manchester Arena bombing, we're so proud of their enormous contribution.
#WeAreBTP
Hugely proud to present the district “ Going the extra mile award” to SPC Nathan Aspinall for working additional hours throughout the Covid pandemic on top of his role as an advanced paramedic. Worthy winner
Thank you
@BTPSpecials
Have a fantastic Christmas 🎄
Please do take a moment to contact someone today whether that be a friend or neighbour who may be on there own.
It is a difficult day for some families so please be kind.

Overwhelmed to be given a Divisional Commanders Commendation by
@BTPGregory

My first one in
@BTP
and I am immensely proud of all the teams and staff for their outstanding actions on the evening and since the incident.
Really proud and pleased to join Supt Alderson in welcoming our first new
@BTPRecruits
to our training site in Liverpool.
First time this has been done and a really excited time. They were sworn in as a constable proud moment for them
After a busy day I decided to stay on to support
@BTPGtrMcr
due to being short staffed, fantastic to patrol with the team and attend incidents with them.
I was teamed up with PCSO Green who has just started with us.
It was really good to see
@BTPFirearmsUnit
team.
A huge thank you to all the
@BTP
teams supporting me last night delivering the railway operation across Merseyside. It was 12 points from me! 😉
The BTP operation continues throughout the week.
Please text us 61016 and report anything suspicious to us.
#Eurovision2023
A strange time to start in my new role as CI for Liverpool
Stations quiet but pleased to see my teams still out on patrol. Already hit the ground running.....
Then dialled into the Merseyside strategic meeting for Covid chaired by
@KennedySerena
✅👍
15 years ago today I joined
@BTP

Following two unconnected stabbings on the rail network yesterday, we are enhancing our patrols over the Easter weekend across South London stations to provide a visible reassurance to the public.
To report discreetly, text 61016.
In an emergency, always call 999.
Had a fantastic day out on patrol. Met a good friend of BTP.
Compliance was around 99% for face coverings. 15 interventions made by myself throughout the day.
Well done to all of the team today especially the PCSO’S who were visible across the network
It is always good to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
I was pleased to have been asked by
@merseyrail
to do a piece to camera about our
@BTP
approach to policing
#Eurovision
Exciting times ahead for
@BTPMersey
when the event does arrive in Liverpool
Incredibly proud to been re-elected as the chair of the LGBT+ network for
@BTP

A role I love to do on top of my day job.
First meeting of the newly elected committee today joined by
@BTPDiversity

It was great to patrol with the teams. It keeps me grounded and it gives me a valuable insight into what my teams do everyday.
It was fantastic to take part in
#NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek
Incredibly proud of all the teams 👏 taking part.
🚨🚨Welcome to the team🚨🚨
I am so proud and really pleased to welcome Inspector Lakhveer Singh back to her new role at Liverpool
@BTPMersey
Looks like she has settled in well after her maternity leave. Good luck!
Huge thank you to Inspector Jay Deveraux for covering 🙏
Just to say all of my teams including
@BTPSpecials
do an incredible job day in and day out.
Fully support them taking time out of a busy day to have refreshments. Instead of complaining go and thank them and see if they are okay.
We would like to apologise to the member of public who was offended by our
@BTPSpecials
officer getting a sandwich earlier this evening when he should have been out on patrol. Having worked his day job then worked a late shift for free he became a bit peckish!
#weallgottaeat
I am getting a lot of queries from my front line teams.
I’m sure all my teams across Pennine will be delighted to hear that I will be starting distribution as soon as they arrive with me in the coming weeks.
#jubileemedals
One of my team was abused in a homophobic incident. This is not acceptable and I am glad to see the courts taking it seriously.
4 months in prison for the offender and £140.00 fine to be given to him.

Easier for me to stay silent on this appalling article, however this is completely unacceptable and not even relevant to the serious story behind the headline.
#heforshe
Detective Superintendent Rebecca Smith at press conference yesterday - skin tight navy dress, stilettos, poker straightened hair - whatever happened to a cop uniform! Or is she auditioning for Love Island for midlifers. Show some respect for a missing mother!
A difficult day today for my
@BTPGtrMcr
team, however as a national force they were joined by teams from across the BTP.
I am proud of everyone and today there is a policing operation in place to support events in Manchester.
#Manchester22
#ManchesterArena
Proud to be a
@BTP
Officer.
I was joined today by

The brave officers including Lee Valentine who initially responded on the evening want to thank everyone for all their support and best wishes.
BTP Chief Constable Paul Crowther says the unarmed officers who detained a man armed with two knives in Manchester were 'heroes'.

Stay safe if you are working and if not enjoy the time with your families
Thanks to
@BTPCadets

I decided to run as a PC for some of the course so I could experience all the roles within the training
I didn’t have to do it but it is important to understand what my teams go through

Unusual times during Covid.
@BTPGregory
dialled in via teams to wish him the best.
However a fitting tribute today to celebrate CI Malcolm Mckinnons retirement after 32 1/2 years service.
Wish you all the best for your retirement malky 👍
