This entirely misses the point. Almost all the value on Earth is down to human labor and circumstance. Gold is mostly worthless except in exchange for other things or as ornamentation—in both contexts purely due to its scarcity.
This is why the zero-sum games for power on Earth never made sense. There is unfathomable wealth beyond Earth. It's never been a finite game. We should all be aligned to conquer the stars.
