@C0URTNEYC0 @offbeatorbit We lived in an apartment block when my husband was first diagnosed with cancer and the neighbours actively avoided me. I knew then I had to leave that flat. Community is healing, sad for people who think otherwise.

I've spent €1,000 on driving lessons so far. It's illegal to drive solo so I pay an instructor when I need practice. It's €85 to do a test & when I go on the @RSAIreland site I'm in a queue to even get on the website. Why is learning to drive such a shambles in Ireland?.

I have a pixie cut, I’m Cis in a heterosexual relationship, and I’ve started to hear shit like this in the past year. Protecting trans rights is also protecting the rights of cis women to look however they want, for us all to look how we want. Otherwise this is the outcome.
Being a person like me walking around the city I love and just enjoying time to myself and I’ve to deal with this shit? Dublin is not safe for people like me, in broad daylight, 4.45pm

We were on the Orlando-Dublin flight with @AerLingus yesterday and I *think* it’s Celine (please check her name, senior cabin crew, blonde) was so unbelievably kind and helpful to my sick husband. Really just above and beyond. Please @AerLingus let me know how I can thank her.

We live in Wexford and my husband’s cancer treatment is in Dublin. We have a minimum of 4 trips a month but it’s usually about 10. It’s 90 quid for a full tank. We don’t get support from @IrishCancerSoc or the Government. Why is there not more financial help for cancer patients?.

Hi @elonmusk, my husband who has metastatic cancer was fired from Twitter despite being in a useful role. Seeing as you’re getting a lot of shit right now, give us some karmic goodwill to make up for the years my husband could’ve had at a profitable company with healthcare cover.

@C0URTNEYC0 We absolutely did. We’re lucky and I love that my neighbours know I’m there for them too. That’s life, and it’s one of the best parts.

@AndrewO20541128 Thank you, Andrew020541128. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to inspect the employee logbooks at the time in the late 80s, so all I could go on were my little eyes. I’m sure you’re right though.

@annfarrelly32 @annefcirl Concerns about what? Do you have a flag phobia? Or you thought one was going to fall down? Weird flex.

My husband is stage 4 because he was continually told he was too young to need a colonoscopy. It hangs over us every hour of every day.
You know what makes me angry?. When I admit a patient with metastatic cancer who’s unlikely to survive… and if that patient had been able to access a family doctor and simple routine screening tests they would have been most likely cured months ago. Now it’s too late. This.

@SarahAMcInerney @ConorMcMorrow People are reliant on painkillers because they wait weeks to see a GP and months to see a dentist. Fix the system. Painkillers are not the issue.

@HorganRoberta @HSELive My husband has stage 4 and medical card was withdrawn in January. Trying to fight it at the moment but it takes a LOT of patience and paperwork.

@HeresHowPodcast @brid_jon @Glinner He used threatening language against women, was kicked off Twitter for it, this is a screenshot from his own site, where’s your confusion about him behaving inappropriately? This is a drop in the ocean. Abuse is abuse, on or offline.

I remember being momentarily terrified that I wouldn’t be able to calm him, he was roaring so loudly, but the split second his head landed on my chest he went completely silent and took a big breath. It was the closest thing to a miracle I’ve ever seen.

I dunno man, being taught daily at school to feel guilty about everything and being trained to confess to a stranger in a dark closet as a SMALL CHILD fucked me up real bad. Maybe fix that first.
Catholic primary school managers say their pupils should not be taught what it means to be transgender in a strongly worded letter sent to Government ministers

@OhhDeerDiner I worked in Oasis and a woman took a huge pile of clothes to the changing room and when I asked her to split them into smaller blocks she picked up the pile and threw it at me and walked out. Minimum wage staff do not have to acknowledge anyone, just carry out the transaction.
