Important insights from @jrf_uk on link between ethnicity and deep poverty. From a health context we know that living in persistent poverty has a cumulative impact on and contributes to unfair and avoidable differences in health.
Bangladeshi, Black African and Pakistani families are up to 5x more likely to be living in severe poverty for a long time compared to white families in the UK 📢 We've carried out new research to understand what these families experience and why they have this elevated risk 1/6

It's been fantastic to work with @NHSProviders again and this guide is, we think, a useful contribution to the discussion on the ethnicity pay gap and provides some examples of good practice @hempsonslegal @hempsonshr @AsminaC
In addition to the obvious moral duty to take action, it is key that #NHS trust leaders understand the risks of not addressing their organisation's ethnicity pay gap. Our new guide, co-produced with @NHSProviders, contains everything you need to know: https://t.co/iXBvT0BA2s

There is no room for racism. We condemn the racist violence on our streets, threatening communities including NHS workers. We support all of the emergency services working to keep people safe. And we stand in solidarity with our own staff at NHS Providers.
