We provide emergency healthcare across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and parts of NE Hants. We also provide the NHS 111 service across the majority of Kent and Sussex.
Six of our ambulances were deliberately damaged overnight in Kent. Beyond disappointed that anyone would do this ever, let alone now when our staff are under so much pressure. Well done to Fleet & Make Ready teams for getting these back on the road asap 1/2

In a UK first, how we manage spinal injuries is changing thanks to CCP Alan Cowley’s research. We will be using approaches such as encouraging patients not to move their neck or head blocks to immobilise the neck instead of semi-ridged neck collars.

We would like to thank everyone for their support following the tragic death of paramedic Alice Clark and for all those injured in last week's RTC. The messages from across the globe have been truly overwhelming.

Today we say farewell to Dr Fionna Moore, as she steps down from her Medical Director role.
We're pleased that she'll be staying with SECAmb in a different role but is hard at it until the end, in a Board session!
Thank you, Fionna 💚
Following yesterday RTC involving a coach on the M25 at Swanley, we triage, assessed, treated and took to various hospitals in the area a total of 49 patients. Great work by all our staff and emergency service partners.
Thanks to Cuddles UK, our staff will now have special pocket blankets for babies who are born prematurely (under 20 weeks) and unable to be resuscitated. Named Lilly Pockets in honour of ECSW James Ingleton and his wife Sarah's daughter, who was born prematurely at 17 weeks.
It's going to be very hot over the next few days so think of our crews who may have to wear these PPE suits while resuscitating patients. Be sensible over the weekend: keep hydrated, stay out of the midday sun and only call us when it is a life-threatening emergency.
Steph joined the Ambulance service over 20 years ago, breaking barriers as the UK's first openly trans woman working on frontline ambulances, 13 years ago.
