The Indian government has just announced the new Ambassador of India to the United States of America; Vinay Mohan Kwatra. This appointment is deeply concerning for Sikhs in America, and globally, and warrants investigation by U.S. authorities.

Although Dogra has long since retired, & now spends his days meeting with RSS officials, including Mohan Bhagwat, he has handed the reins of police terrorism to Yadav, who currently holds the top police position in Panjab & has picked up from where his father in law left off.
Yadav has his own history of committing terrorism and violence on behalf of the Indian state. In January 2004, police arrested Baljeet Kaur, a woman from Punjab, on suspicion of being a criminal. Her testimony in a 2008 report by the Independent People’s Tribunal illustrates.

In the 80’s and 90’s, Yadav’s father-in-law PC Dogra ran a campaign of false charges, arbitrary arrests, torture and extrajudicial killings against innocent Sikh youth, falsely labelling them as Khalistani “terrorists” to justify illegally torturing and murdering them.
On 18 July 1998, PC Dogra (Punjab’s Director General of Police at the time) held a press conference. At this press conference Dogra made claims that Amritsar police had foiled plans of a terrorist group ‘Tigers of Sikh Land’, said to be connected to the “Khalistan National Army’,

Gaurav Yadav, DGP of Panjab Police, has since issued a statement labeling all three men as Khalistani “terrorists”, despite there being no evidence of this.
As was the case in the 80’s and 90’s, a direct linear correlation can still be observed between an increase in demands for Sikh rights and sovereignty and an increase in the output of propaganda against Sikhs by the Indian state, all following the exact same formula and themes:.

This indicates that Gurwinder, Virendra and Jasanpreet were already in police custody before the “encounter” took place, a tactic that the Indian state has used to extrajudicially kill Sikhs in fake encounters for decades, with absolute impunity.
The last time Gurvel’s family saw him alive, he had been in police custody. Media coverage of his death labelled him as a “B category militant belonging to Bhindranwala Tigers Force (Sangha)”. After reading the news of Gurvel’s death, his family demanded answers from the police.
