Happy Canada Day!. Today, let us renew our commitment to not only defend Canada, but to continue to build the country of our dreams. Let's build a country where we take better care of each other and lift each other up so that we all rise.

Jason Schreyer was a lifelong New Democrat. He was committed to public service and social justice. I share the condolences of all New Democrats at his loss. May his family be comforted in knowing the difference his life made to so many.

I am disappointed that we could not win more seats. But I am not disappointed in our movement. I am hopeful for our Party. I KNOW that we will always choose hope over fear.
