Citizens Advice have written a detailed summary of what the proposed cuts to #DisabilityBenefits are and what they will mean to those affected. You can see that Labour Ministers are lying both about their purpose and their devastating effects #TakingThePIP https://t.co/tfMNvgT96t

DWP PIP appeals are now taking over a year – leaving disabled people in limbo https://t.co/XVd1rWE7hR 'Its ok, it's backdated if you win' They say....which is great but in the meantime how do people survive? And what if you don't win? You are left with huge debt. Cruel by design

WTF nonsense is this? "Benefit claimants could get more time to find support before welfare cuts." Where the hell are they supposed to "find new support"? https://t.co/CBvjlOhO5p

Proposed disability support cuts will hit 3 million people. We must pause: withdraw the cuts, consult disabled people, & redesign the system with their consent. There's no need for cuts - taxing the wealthiest is the way forward, not slashing support for the most vulnerable.

The reason so many PIP appeals are successful is not because the disabled people are lying… It’s because the original assessors were lying and did not assess correctly based on the medical evidence.

Dear Labour MP. If you are going to be voting for or against changes to #disabilitybenefits that could devastate the lives of an estimated million-plus people, I’d like to think three minutes of your time is a fair exchange. It has been reported that 100 Labour MPs have

This letter, in today’s Times, stopped me in my tracks. The assisted dying Bill will affect all of society, in ways that have barely been considered.

Down to Westminster tomorrow for the Assisted Dying debate. The evidence is increasingly clear that the bill is a threat to vulnerable people. Almost half of those who opt for AD in Oregon do so because they fear ‘being a burden’. The bill is illiberal and inhumane.

For over ten weeks, Israeli forces have blocked food, water and medicine from entering Gaza. With over two million facing famine and the Netanyahu Government planning to seize all of Gaza, will the PM back a joint plan to recognise Palestine and end this appalling blockade?

NEW and SIGNIFICANT: Gordon Brown has pretty much said #DisabilityBenefits cuts are a mistake that will drive people into poverty. This is a good thing in terms of mobilising more #Labour MPs to realise it’s a cataclysmic mistake and not a leftie issue. https://t.co/8sFGVFRZDT

V. IMPORTANT. ‘First Report of the Work and Pensions Committee, Safeguarding vulnerable claimant’ just out. Slaughters The Department. One witness said they felt as if "a system that is meant to wrap its arms around us is strangling us”. #WelfareNotWarfare

On #WorldMEDay I've joined Lib Dem colleagues in writing to the Health Secretary about the need to invest in the Final Delivery Plan for ME/CFS. People with ME have one of the lowest qualities of life of any condition but have faced decades of insufficient care. This must change

Removing PIP from millions of people with cancer, arthritis, cardiovascular disease and respiratory diseases will only make our society sicker and poorer. It’s not too late for the government to shelve this disastrous plan. https://t.co/FjsDjztJhY

Labour's benefit reforms could see thousands of people with cancer and more than 200,000 people with arthritis lose their PIP payments.
