Some of these beans will get sold elsewhere (incl in the US), but likely at lower prices. So, even if ALL beans are sold, US farmers will have lower revenues and - thanks to tariffs on fertilizer, metals, equipment, etc - higher input costs. Helluva man-made squeeze.
The soybean story is not seasonality. In a normal year, China would’ve already booked U.S. soybeans from the crop now being harvested. They haven’t. Unless trade dynamics change fast, 2025 won’t follow the usual pattern.
