This isn’t meant to dampen what is a really good pay deal for schools, but government saying it’s ‘fully funded’ *doesn’t* mean they are paying the full 5.5% Schools will be expected to use up the supposed £600m ‘headroom’ they have too
Breaking: Schools will get £1.2bn extra towards the cost of the 5.5% pay rise for teachers and the increase for support staff, DfE confirms BUT they will be expected to contribute £600m from 'headroom' in budgets estimated by the DfE earlier this year https://t.co/q1JTvtovxQ
