Last week, on the cover of @NatureAging, we published the first computational framework for epigenetic age estimation at single-cell resolution. A fantastic collaboration with @CsabaKerepesi and @VadimGladyshev in the @gladyshev_lab @harvardmed! https://t.co/2QXfmVqXh4 1/๐Ÿงต

inspired by recent events: tomorrow i will publish an article about why you should work in biology because at some point in your lifeโ€”maybe not today, but somedayโ€”youโ€™ll realize that it is the only field that actually mattered, so you might as well start now

At @OpenAI, we believe that AI can accelerate science and drug discovery. An exciting example is our work with @RetroBiosciences, where a custom model designed improved variants of the Nobel-prize winning Yamanaka proteins. Today we published a closer look at the breakthrough. โฌ‡๏ธ

Ideas people often bring up when discussing automation in biotech: - AI scientists - cloud labs - a shareable format for protocols - vision driven validation systems No one is more excited about these things than I am, but how will we get there without building a decent

The biggest obstacle to curing diseases w/ AI is data! Quality & quantity. Bio data pales in comparison to NLP or comp vision. Also, due to scientific fads, existing data likely captures only a sliver of possible info/signal in biology. Data is the key to BioXAI impact!
