Another tour de force from the Tong lab!.
Excited to share our new study arguing for the existence of parallel neural pathways mediated by LepR or non-LepR neurons that each is sufficient to drive obesity. The obesity driven by non-LepR neurons is relevant to DIO and can be a novel neural basis for leptin resistance.

What a shame! 🤬 A 12-year old living with obesity due to mutations in the PCSK1 gene cannot be treated because our government stigmatizes obesity. Quebec would not recognize a genetic disease. #nonsense.
