This Ola scooter business is getting a really upsetting now. I’m less bothered when the ripples of fail-fast stay within a company, and the ecosystem stakeholders - but this is literally just folks who trusted an Indian startup and are now losing lives and limbs.

If you've been based in Bangalore and are thinking about starting a consumer facing business - I strongly recommend getting out of that city and living in different cities for a few months, to remind yourself what consumers are like. BLR folks are not your (major) audience.

@adityarao310 I used to be exactly like you - but honestly ever since I went sober, I've realised splitting equally on an ongoing basis - inevitably I will be paying a lot more than what I got for. Closest of friends where money isn't an object - is fine. Anything beyond - its better to not.

We took a trip down to Austria for our first anniversary (18.01) & Salzburg was the first city we headed to. I was coming back to Salzburg after over a decade & was a new experience entirely. Lots of walking and cycling in the city, discovering nooks and corner, gorgeous sunsets.
