Josh is a spokesperson for the white heterosexual male grievance culture in this nation. He's just another example of how self-absorbed and entitled white men can become given the right "nurture". What a fraud he is.

@FoxNews
is essentially promoting resorting to violence. The entire channel should be terminated. It's basically America's version of state TV.

White guy here whose dad was nearly murdered and the police were complicit in not properly handling the attempted murder investigation due to corruption from on high.
Have you heard of corruption? Maybe get out more and read some books. Talk to people with other perspectives.

And those two things alone should, by themselves, be sufficient to motivate any critically thinking Americans to rethink their support of the Trump nightmare. That and the virtually daily Twitter raging that Trump does. Oh, and his Cabinet filled with unqualified people. And...
@NoLieWithBTC
Well since the ultimate vote will be 53-47 for Jackson we could still have pulled it off without 2 Dem Senators in Georgia...at least theoretically speaking. But I do not doubt that Senators' votes are sometimes influenced by each other. Georgia voter turnout was crucial.
Where will I get my sexy Italian fix now that

? Seriously, Shonda just likes to kill characters though. Does it occur to the writers that they can tell a compelling story regarding human trafficking without killing a character? Ugh.
@StephenKing
Have you started writing a horror story featuring the moderate Senator from Maine who was anything but?? I think Kathy Bates might be a good person to portray Susan Collins. Bates was amazing in Misery. And now the nation has a case of misery.
#GOPHostage
Anyone who takes Senator Kennedy (R-LA) seriously about *ANYTHING* should consider looking for other sources of information. The current
@GOP
has no credibility. Most of their policies are truly monstrous. They have helped create the most corrupt SCOTUS in many, many decades.
Since 1850, the entire U.S. contribution to increased global temperatures is about 0.2°C of 1.0°C total (20%)
Reducing to Net Zero by 2050 at cost of $50T would probably prevent 0.1°C additional warming out of another 1°C
Globally, at least $1000T or $1Q is needed.

Collins never wants to experience actually consequences for her positions. She toes the line, talks a good talk but then falls in line. Her conduct regarding Brett Kavanaugh was truly grotesque.

If Fox "News" were ever to be disbanded and no toxic equivalent were to take its place I *might* start to feel convinced the USA was coming back from its wilderness in which "news" has essentially become mostly opinion and childish viciousness hurled about like a food fight.
@healingfromlc
The power imbalance you describe is sadly not unique to healthcare. Such power imbalances are built into many frameworks. Consider racist policing in which people of color are "kept in line" by white officers. To challenge unjust systems often results in ridicule or far worse.
@bigricanman
My father was victimized by law enforcement corruption after being nearly murdered by my stepmother. Police were complicit in a cover-up that prevented a proper investigation and processing of the incident.
People who mindlessly adore law enforcement ought to open their minds.

On a related note,
@HawleyMO
continues to amaze with his unwillingness to cooperate with, well, anyone. I read the other day he basically is the
@GOP
personified, ie he has voted against most every candidate advanced for Biden's Cabinet. Hawley has nothing to offer other than NO.

The GOP deserves to lose all three branches of government for an entire generation. And let's start at the top. Let's ensure

He is disgusting.

This theory makes a lot of sense. Since brain fog can impact a lot of people who are infected with COVID or have persistent long COVID it would make sense that a task as complex as driving could cause serious issues.

I self tested for COVID three times earlier this year when I became quite sick. All three tests were negative. But then I got an antibody test last week and it indicated I had high levels of antibodies. So apparently I was sick with COVID earlier this year.

You do appreciate that current situation is quite like what helped trigger the (original) American Revolution, namely taxation without representation? Now the issue is blue states effectively subsidize red states; now we have taxation without *proportionate* representation.

You shouldn’t be afraid of socialism. You should be afraid that 3 people hold more wealth than half of our nation’s population while millions of Americans cannot afford food, housing and healthcare. You should be afraid of capitalism because it’s destroying us and our planet too.

When sociopathy is rewarded in our society it creates a perverse incentive to keep creating more sociopaths. The veritable idolatry on display for your uncle at CPAC was revolting and disturbing.
I tend to think America is afflicted with a sort of pervasive Stockholm Syndrome.

Raising the minimum wage would help. I bet a lot of social workers who work with people in deep poverty would tell you that. No need to curtsy when you vote down progressive legislation in the future. It's tacky.

I honestly think it's some Russian mob connection. I suspect Mueller only scratched the surface. It may take many more years but in time I think we will learn a lot more. I think the darkness revealed will be dark. Think NRA, Epstein, trafficking, drugs, etc.

Which is exactly why we need to eliminate the Electoral College. From what I know population trends will only worsen this distortion in coming years. We're quickly reaching a breaking point in the legitimacy of how our government functions.

It's sad but to have long COVID now is something akin to having AIDS in something like 1984. It's dreadful and some of the very same mistakes are being made, namely gaslighting, avoidance, insufficient investment in research and so on.

One of my favorite performances of

Every culture that has existed has contributed something to the sum of who we are. It's the height of hubris and stupidity to believe only your nation, people and community did something of real value.
As a German man I know what can happen when nationalism runs amok.
National pride has evil consequences. Prefer pride in humanity. German pride gave us Hitler, American pride gave us Trump, British pride gave us Brexit. If you must have pride, be proud that Homo sapiens could produce a Darwin, Shakespeare, Mandela, Einstein, Beethoven.

The GOP will lose big no matter what they do regarding

I was truly BLESSED to live and work among the Lakota Native American people in 1997. That experience changed my life and made me deeply respectful of the historical trauma of native peoples. These children are behaving in an outrageous manner.
This is completely unethical and inappropriate. Why should the current Justice Department be representing a now private citizen?
@eliehonig
your thoughts?
@GeoRebekah
The foundation of the USA is unsustainable. We cannot employ a capitalist economic model to continue infinitely growing on a finite planet. Greed and cruelty do indeed destroy lives. There are few better measures of a society than how it treats its own children.
@TravisAllen02
So let's extend the logic. If we didnt do screening we wouldn't have:
Domestic violence
Pollution
Hunger
Coastal erosion
Child runways
Murder
So let's just not screen anything and life will be so much better.
@kylegriffin1
That truly disturbed me. To show such blatant disrespect of a Senator when Kavanaugh was the one identified for questioning in the hearing shows, in my opinion, how little respect Kavanaugh provides to many people.

That so many people still want Trump is testament to how many Americans are perfectly willing to accept lawlessness, crude behavior, misogyny and cruelty as long as they get what *they* want. Sickening.
