Heading out the door here next year -- is the sole reason the House GOP has been able to dubiously cast passage of several bills as "bipartisan" this session -- including the stalled House bill to reopen government, now stuck in the senate.

Actually, there's a strong case Trump was a) on the ballot and b) the biggest factor in the D wins. Clear majorities in NJ/VA disapproved of his job performance & over 90% of them in each state voted D for Gov. Despite his scandal, Jay Jones won 89% of Trump disapprovers.
