I just learned on Garden Rescue that softwood decking is meant to go grooveside DOWN! The grooves allow airflow underneath & stop the wood rotting. People put them grooveside up as they think it's for grip but it's actually slippier becos there's less surface area to grip on 🤯.

This working from home SHIT has to stop, it’s destroying mental health for millions of young people, and forcing many others to spend far more on housing just for the extra office space. It may suit middle class, middle aged, middle management, it does not suit most young people.

Retention tip. A year or so ago, our headteacher introduced a new rule that any staff leaving would sing a karaoke song of their choice in front of whole school in their leaver's assembly. No one left this year. 🤣 🎤🎶👩🎤👨🎤.

If you want to base your hunch on actual research, @YouGov polls show majority of parents value their child's #wellbeing higher than their academic attainment, and choose schools based mostly on where their child will be happiest. Would you class wellbeing focus as woke? 🤷🏽♂️.
Here's my hunch: a majority of parents would prefer a school with clear traditional values, even if they themselves don't always share them, to a school with woke/progressive values. A sort of sanctuary from the excesses of wider societal changes.
