59 years ago the most unspeakable and preventable tragedy occurred and all for 'the price of coal'. Any teacher and / or parent with a ♥️will surely want to reach out to the #Aberfan community today 😢🙏
The Aberfan disaster, on October 21, 1966, cost the lives of 116 children and 28 adults when a coal tip engulfed Pantglas School. We remain committed to remembering those who died, and our thoughts are as ever with those who lost loved ones. The victims will never be forgotten.
