I went into Halifax Bank yesterday to inform them of the Gull stuck in the anti-bird netting, I was assured this would be passed to management and sorted. Back again 24 hours later and it's still there being watched by its mate. So @HalifaxBank please sort! @RSPCA_official

I visited the River Waveney floodplain with Daniel @AcroDWade from @SuffolkWildlife to look at plans for an inspiring river re-meandering and landscape recovery project - a win for nature, flood management and carbon capture. We need @DefraGovUK to back this project and many more

The story behind this involves public transport from city to mountain, 4 hours of birding forests to find 5 or 6 of these little guys just hanging out nomming seeds put out by a hotel right next to the ski lift, a left instead of a right would have made much less of an adventure.

With our DEFRA farming blog going live, now is a great time to showcase some aerial footage kindly taken by Will and Ali from @EnvAgency. Flown in early Jan, the footage demonstrates perfectly how high water levels reveal historic channels and flow pathways on the River Waveney.
