Yesterday's Black-winged Stilt is still here today. Looking at the photos we can see contrast on the mantle (yellow arrow) which points to it being a female (males have glossy backs) and a white trailing edge to the wing makes this a 2023 bird. Could this be last years fledgling?

Being dynamic at #RSPBframpton flooding an area next to the reservoir for the first time. Let’s hope it brings in some waders. @BillyBloodworm

Fantastic footage here of a scrum of male sea aster mining bees, all trying to mate with a female. These bees are rare in the UK, and globally scarce. #RSPBFrampton is a great place to see them, starting to show well now, going through September. @RSPBEngland @Natures_Voice

Think it is fair to say the #RSPBFrampton spoonbills are showing reasonably well today. Footage taken with phone only from 360 hide. Please remember to wear face coverings in hides & leave benches in position to aid social distancing. @Lincsbirding @RSPBEngland @vikingoptical

Great walk at lunch checking a few things out. Curlew sandpiper, spotted redshank, ruff and curlew all signs of autumn passage. Chicks galore with young avocet, oystercatcher, lapwing, ringed plover, little ringed plover and redshank all growing quickly and a mammal surprise too.
