You know how people called women hysterical for predicting the right wing would take down Roe v. Wade (which they've done) and then attack access to birth control (which they're doing)? Hear me when I say that women's very right to vote is next.

Since we passed the Affordable Care Act, Republicans have tried over and over to repeal it. And over and over, they’ve failed — in part because millions of people now depend on the ACA for quality, affordable health care. Now Republicans are trying something different: quietly

Pleased to see the land sale finally near completion. I still regard it as wicked that ex Cllr Maureen Powell (with very poor planning officer advice) gave planning for housing (?!) on this important site. A waste of time, money and effort for many people, over many years.

When Labour MPs complain about No10's 'political strategy', there is often an implication that there is either a simple solution (there is not) or that No10 can operate in 2025 the way that Blair/Brown or Cameron/Osborne did decades ago (they can not).

I wonder though if, today, @_RobbieMoore would have the courtesy to talk about the hugely important #AssistedDying bill going through the HoC. I've no doubt he will vote against, (after 'scrutinising it carefully' as promised) but at least acknowledge it matters? @IlkleyChat

My MP @_RobbieMoore spends his time on a relentless PR campaign to get headlines and attack anything Labour. He uses his privilege - as an MP able to speak in a HoC debate - to talk about....local car parking. He's mostly Reform lite, and very good at spin.

In 10 months, Sir Keir Starmer has quietly done more good for the UK than the last 5 Tory prime ministers did in 14 years. 5 useless individuals in 14 years let that sink in.

Wise words from @RedBern , to take us all into another working week. 'Remember, you can't play chess with a pigeon...' (you can shoot them though, right?)

@hewitson10 The look in Kay Burley's eyes...realising her nonsense was being treated with the humorous contempt it deserved...emperor's new clothes moment.

Thank you all for a fantastic job, well done.
We did it! Feeling pretty emotional right now after an intense few weeks of campaigning. A massive thank you to @kimleadbeater @dignityindying and @soverybecca for all of their incredible hard work over the #AssistedDyingBill

Louise Haigh resigns immediately for a spent conviction Reform MP James McMurdock was jailed for repeatedly kicking his former girlfriend & Farage stands by him As for the Tories, IF they resign it’s because they’re dragged kicking & screaming & then reappointed later

On Friday, I will be voting in favour of the Assisted Dying Bill. This is a deeply important issue, and I shared my reasons on Radio 4's Today programme this morning. You can listen to an excerpt here:

"I will be voting in favour of the legislation on Friday." MPs will debate and vote on an assisted dying bill this week. Minister for Early Education @StephenMorganMP says voting to legalise it is "the right thing to do". https://t.co/PAiZ4D1jU3 📺 Sky 501

Countless constituents have written to me over the last few weeks about the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill. Thank you to all of those who have contacted me from all sides of the debate, I have now set out how I intend to vote below: https://t.co/oxoZNvu13y

Is there such a thing as a kicking the can down the road' amendment?
@JanetEastham @DrBenSpencer @munirawilson @annalouisedixon I know 'reasoned amendment' sounds like parliamentary jargon but 'wrecking amendment' is the wrong take. It's a way of setting out the reasons for opposition rather than just 'no' i.e. 'MPs have tabled a motion saying why Leadbeater's Bill shouldn't have a second reading'.

I am looking forward to getting a response , as promised, from my Tory MP @_RobbieMoore on how he will vote in the Assisted Dying Bill. I appreciate he's been busy doing a lot of PR and photo ops, but making laws is his actual job? #Keighley #Ilkley
