@Aaronsmith333 Good time to also recall the proud Shadow Peanut for Public Transport was also dead against SkyRail which has been a godsend for Victoria.

Matt Guy ran a whole scare campaign in 2024 about trains not fitting in the new Metro tunnel. And Jess Wilson's response today? Promote Matt Guy to Shadow Minister for Public Transport. This is not a serious party. They’re just fucked.

EVs are just going to win. I don't know what else to tell you. Internal combustion was an awesome technology, and we couldn't have industrialized without it, but it's time to say thank you and goodbye.

Nepal has become an electric vehicle leader - 80% of cars imported in December were battery electric. This is leapfrogging par excellence.

What a day for Matt Guy to be appointed Shadow for Public Transport! He's had absolutely nothing to say about the Metro Tunnel today - curious, given it’s Melbourne's biggest transport project since the City Loop, which opened when Matt was 7 years old.

@AussieGamr @RicKellyCountry My issue with Pauline Hanson is that she has perfected the dark craft of turning ignorance into rhetoric - a racist bigot who deals in fear like a currency, spending it liberally while contributing absolutely nothing of substance.

@TonyShaw22 Tony, we all know 3AW’s greatest hits: bash Labor, bash immigrants, scream about debt, but only when Labor’s in power, pretend Liberal debt doesn’t exist, rile up the over-65s, deny science and take pot-shots at Victoria.

If it helps @MatthewGuyMP, I'm not sure about the start date, but I can give you a finish date. It's today. By the way, further to your concern about trains not fitting in the tunnel, it appears they fit without issue.

3AW will be whinging about the Melbourne Metro all the way to the 2026 election - tissues, tantrums, the whole thing. The only people praying for Victoria to fail harder than 3AW are the Herald Sun and the Victorian Liberals under Jess Wilson. What a trio.

Allowing for covid I’m thinking the celebration of the opening of the metro tunnel by Labor pollies a bit over the top when the project will be close to 5 billion dollars over budget. 5 billlion not 5 million.

I guess if you're going to choose a Minister for housing, it makes sense to choose one who owns 17 of them.

Today I step into a new role as Shadow Minister for Planning, Housing and Building. My focus is building a Victoria where owning a home is within reach, planning works for people not against them, and our state is once again the best place to live and do business. #springst

The Melbourne Metro opened today because Labor won in 2014. If Jess Wilson and the Liberals win next year, the Suburban Rail Loop will never happen. The Liberals don’t create the future. They get in the way of it.

.@ShackelWill not a hope in hell #nuclear could contribute to australia's emissions reductions before 2035. …practically 🍩 chance it could help before 2045. if the nuclear sector could drastically slash its costs & deliver on time, maybe it could help… but not for decades.

Never believe a politician who says they're serious about the climate but Australia doesn't need nuclear. The government has had to admit today that current projections suggest they'll only reach 48% emission reduction by 2035 compared to their recently announced target of
