Led by @AZafar_MD and colleagues from @CIRC_MGH and @MGHMedicine and @mghmedres, among patients with 5-FU coronary vasospasm, re-challenge after pre-treatment with CCBs and nitrates guided by cardio-oncology was safe and allowed continued 5-FU therapy

“Tocilizumab was not effective for preventing intubation or death in moderately ill hospitalized patients with Covid-19.” Grateful to be part of this team, and humbled by the blood, sweat and tears it takes to put one of these together. @zsofidrobni @TomasNeilan @CIRC_MGH.
The efficacy of tocilizumab was tested in an RCT involving patients with #COVID19 who had fever, pulmonary infiltrates, or a need for supplemental oxygen. The treatment had no significant effect on disease progression, independence from supplemental oxygen, or death.
