Today we delivered a letter to Prime Minister @RishiSunak signed by 16 charities & organisations representing immunocompromised people across the UK. On this 4th anniversary of the first UK Covid-19 lockdown, we're calling for support for those facing continued risk & isolation.

@_CatintheHat however they have also upheld an appeal by the NHS to delay further roll out to a cohort of approx 14m, for 15 months. meaning many who should get it wont. They will pay more storage charges on the drugs already bought and many will go out of date and have to destroyed

@JeremyVineOn5 @bonsuman @estherk_k @alexisconran Lots of hospital trust are telling their staff not to test for covid if they are ill too. Shocking disregard for vulnerable patients and also their own staff. So yes we need masks in hospital settings. This is the one place that should be safe.

In my 42 years in the NHS I have never seen anything like this. How do we reconcile ‘do no harm’ with NHS guidelines that harm / kill vulnerable patients with nosocomial infections?
