On August 4th, IIDEA submitted a formal appeal to the Office of the Labour Commissioner, urging immediate intervention in the ongoing mass layoffs at TCS. We call upon the government, media, ad civil society to hold corporations accountable for unjust labour practices.

2/n The law mandates that revision of basic wages must be done at not later than 5 years. it has been 7 years since such revision has taken place, and minimum wages are yet to be revised. Workers are thus working in forced labour in violation of Article 23 of the Constitution.
