@8teAPi It’s because openrouter does its leaderboard by tokens, and Grok uses like four times as many for each task.

@8teAPi The people saying free are mostly wrong, likely the use on X. Openrouter limits free models to 1000 calls per day. With that said Grok 4.1 Fast is a great little cheap agent if you need one. I like it actually.

it will be impossible to identify AGI except in retrospect. there will always be a more intelligent AI to be built (why else would we build Dyson spheres if we had AGI enough already?).

Either you crack general intelligence -- the ability to efficiently acquire arbitrary skills on your own -- or you don't have AGI. A big pile of task-specific skills memorized from handcrafted/generated environments isn't AGI, not matter how big.

would also be interesting if this created healthcare tourism, or national centers of excellence. could imagine all transplant surgery shifted to the Mayo Clinic for example which accelerates research

I don't really understand why we don't just allow national competition for health insurance. It seems like the state pools are raising costs and reducing competition. Trump should rip the bandaid. People would immediately see cost savings.

Most surviving US machine shops have long term US customers who are ok to pay high prices. I wonder what it takes to build a machine shop that can compete with Chinese manufacturing globally. Are there shops on Alibaba doing this? Does the US logistics chain allow this?
