The returns for Teachers fund does not matter. The pension payments are covered by taxpayers if anything goes wrong. That said, the fund is normally quite solid. This is a gold plated pension that everyone should want.

The capital gains inclusion rate moved from 50% to 67%, for amounts above $250,000. My wife and I will take a hit as she will inherit the family cottage. That is possibly our retirement home. Hopefully this does not take this out of our hands (and family). It has been in the

Nice to see my personal RRSP top $500,000 this week. Some of my RRSP room is in my wife's name (spousal account) with lower six figures amount. Not bad considering I was wiped out by a biz partner at age 30, and largely have not funded accts for 15 years or more.
