With all due respect to Mr. Canbรคck, there is no crackdown. Most of the church higherachy are Putinist agents, who must leave the Sacred Armenian Apostolic Church to those who are actually spiritual & serve God.
For anyone following the Caucasus, one of the least covered topics rn is the crackdown between the Armenian government and the Church. Generally, internal politics of Armenia gets in the shadow of the conflict with Azerbaijan -- even though they are partly intertwined.
