Goodbye 2018. It was a hard health year. Back surgery, hospitals, and many months of too much pain. Two silver linings - stark wake up call of the importance of health and seeing the generosity of many people who were there to help. Carrying these into 2019, on the beach.

Last year, we were paying a big vendor for their scanner until we realized it was one of our highest security costs + many of its features were not relevant to our setup. It became clear we were not getting our money’s worth. So, we built our own + are open-sourcing it for others
There wasn't a lightweight network vulnerability scanner that we felt was a good match for our needs, so we recently created our own. It's called Flan Scan, and today we are open-sourcing it

Some neighbors we didn’t know very well distributed a letter + bottle of champagne to the houses backyard’s that connected. They invited us to join for a happy hour - at the appropriate distant. We all went outside at 6pm on our patios, introduced each other + chatted. Was nice.
