African Union Chairman previous Djibouti Foreign minister has failed to secure Funding for Mission in Somalia. AUSSOM forces currently in the mission area, including those whose transfer out of the mission area by 30 June 2025 was suspended for operational reasons.

‼️🚨EU pauses funding on Somalia Peacekeeping Mission . EU has paused its funding pending a request that 75 percent of the mission’s cost be financed by the UN, with the remaining 25 percent from voluntary contributions, as part of Resolution 2719 which is before the UN security.
