Excited to announce the 1st paper of my PhD with Luc Selen and @pmedendorp in @JNeurophysiol. We show that changes of mind during reaching are preceded by reduced long latency reflexes: continuous flow of the internal decision process!.

Great opportunity to join our lab! Happy to answer any questions you might have about being a PhD student in the amazing sensorimotorlab of the equally amazing @DondersInst.

Tomorrow at #ECVP2022 I will talk about what happens in your brain and body when noisy visual stimuli make you go "oops, should have gone the other way!" mid-reach. Stop by the computational modelling session at 10:00 if you want to know more. @sensorimotorlab

Thanks Rose, this was a great story! If you’re interested in the interaction between motor preparation and working memory load but missing ECVP, I recommend checking out the poster: see the link below.
Attending #ecvp2022 in Nijmegen? Swing by my poster presentation (# 70) today between 15.30-17.00, where I will present some new findings on action encoding during visual working memory. Can’t make it? Check out the poster online:

What happens in this tennis players’ mind (& body!) as he decides whether to hit the ball with his front- or backhand? We hypothesize that incomplete decisions are sent to the muscles, getting them ready for action. Follow along to hear more about this project! #dondersPIE
