This is why @jk_rowling is on my short list of influential voices on X who didn’t just use her platform — she risked it. A literary and entertainment empire built from nothing. She had far more to lose than most. But women’s rights — and truth — mattered more. She’s been bullied,
Five years ago today and my only regret is that I didn't speak out sooner. To every girl and woman who's paid a heavy price for fighting to retain their rights and boundaries, to every person striving to halt an appalling medical experiment on minors, I salute you. We will win.

In 3 hours a few twitter accounts did more due diligence on an enemy of the British people than the Civil Service, Intelligence services, Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister did over the course of years.

It may not be the most harmful decision @Keir_Starmer had made, but it feels like the most politically damaging, like a point of no return. I doubt he can recover now.

Shocking stats from the OECD show we have 38.3% foreign doctors while Germany has 15% and France 11% . The average across all 28 developed and developing countries is 19.6%. The General Medical Council says that number is wrong and has told The Telegraph it’s now up to 42%.

Happy Xmas and thank you to France currently supplying 13.5% of the UK's power from its nuclear reactors. https://t.co/AEQDngILm8

No wonder we have no money for anything... "The Net Zero Strategy estimates through the late 2020s and 2030s, an additional £50-60 billion in capital investments will be needed annually to meet net zero and energy security targets. " https://t.co/Z0gp3QnYMB

Credit to England's cricketers: they made a real fight of it. Australia have been awesome: so good in all areas. This was a great Test to watch. Stick with it: England can win a Test in Oz - they weren't that far off this time.

How does a 24-year old Muslim male who is known to the government for being affiliated with ISIS get to possess not one, but SIX firearms, in a country where guns are essentially banned?

Re Spectator. Customer services do not respond either. Very sharky behaviour from the Spectator: and not worthy of this venerable title.

Warning for Spectator readers. It is currently offering subs to unherd of £1 for 3 months. Yet if you accept it later becomes clear ( not mentioned in offer) that you will automotically be charged £9 a month after the 3 months unless cancelled- and no obvious option to cancel..

Today, Maccabi Tel Aviv fans travelled to Stuttgart and the match passed with barely a ripple. Perhaps it’s easier when your police force isn’t so intimidated by its Islamist population that it bans Jewish fans - and then lies to the public about why. Isn't that so @WMPolice?

Contrary to media reports today’s flu weekly report says flu is circulating at medium levels..and serious complications are low ( admission to ICU).

I pointed this out to the statistician at the ONS who compiled the weekly reports for the media: and to the head of statistics who invited me to take part in an enquiry. ( when it was obvious to a 9 year old). Shattering incompetence - or something sinister?

It still makes me mad when I read the ONS mortality reports - which now regularly point out that the crude deaths rate means little, as it's not adjusted for population increase or ageing. Which I pointed out was true of all the Covid data during the pandemic: but they ignored.

There are some extraordinary things in the Sandie Peggie judgment that ignore reality and women's rights and will surely not stand up to appeal. https://t.co/6gjAlPlTtT

Ireland’s coast is defended by the Royal Navy and its skies are defended by the RAF, while Dublin spends nothing on defence, lectures the West on neutrality and prides itself for being one of the few free European nations that refused to fight Hitler.
Read my latest on Ireland's inability to defend itself. https://t.co/Nsa8arRGwW

The Eurozone would currently fail miserably to qualify for membership...of the Eurozone under the original qualification criteria..( 86% debt-GDP currently vs the entry ceiling of 60%). 11 of the EU would also fail on yearly budget deficits. ( max 3% GDP..France currently 5.6%)
