New preprint from collaboration with @SN_Lab - 2p imaging of psilocybin's effects on neurovascular coupling 🔬 We found that psilocybin prolongs the neurovascular response, independent of neural activity. This affects how we should interpret fMRI BOLD studies of #psychedelics‼️

good time to remind folks: - there is no evidence DMT accumulates in the brain at physiologically relevant concentrations - there is no evidence that training can modulate endogenous DMT - the no. of degrees someone has is independent of their credibility and intelligence
@FatherMcKennaa And the best part is, you make it in your very own pineal gland in the center of your brain! Smoking it can be nice and even healing when used intentionally. Training yourself to increase your brain’s natural production of DMT? Now that’s true #transformation.

so interesting but correct to point out dosages. they call “low dose” 5mg/kg, yet that’s higher than pretty much any behavioral mouse studies and roughly equivalent to the highest dose we ever give humans. their regular 15mg/kg dose is way higher than we ever give humans.
