A lot of smart, talented friends have been reaching out lately, feeling like they’re missing out on the AI wave. Many of them are considering joining an early-stage AI startup — but what they often don’t realize is that this decision is less like picking a job, and more like.

Pretty exciting role!.
We're Hiring!. USV is looking for an AI Lead—a technical operator who will help us reimagine how a venture firm develops theses, finds companies, and supports its portfolio in the AI era. You’ll be the builder-in-chief: prototyping tools that help us source founders earlier,

Love this framing!🎯 @realmadhuguru . Product management used to be about one-pagers, meticulously scoped Jira tickets, and months-long dev cycles. But with cost of building going down, the PM function is evolving into rapid prototyping and constant experimentation.
At @Google, we are moving from a writing‑first culture to a building‑first one. Writing was a proxy for clear thinking, optimized for scarce eng resources and long dev cycles - you had to get it right before you built. Now, when time to vibe-code prototype ≈ time to write PRD,.

Thanks, Sri, for sharing the message ❤️ . I’m overwhelmed by all the inbounds. Over 50 people reached out via DMs and emails asking for advice. I'm trying to get to as many as possible with thoughtful responses, hoping they find the advice helpful in navigating their next move!.
Great advice and generous of Sudhee to offer to chat. As operators, you are extremely undiversified investors, so chose your company wisely. Picking the right company at right time often dwarfs all other decisions (role, scope, comp etc).

The most important things in life are difficult to measure. Judging people is one such skill; it is hard to read others, let alone teach this ability. You likely develop this skill only through experience, after meeting thousands of individuals.
One of the coolest parts of doing this podcast is the ability to get specific advice from amazing people about how to do my job. Peter's advice for me about how to be a better VC was basically to cultivate the ability to know a special person when you meet them. Which may sound

Lovable could be bigger than we all may imagine, perhaps even bigger than WordPress @antonosika. A vertically integrated platform vision: domain + website frontend + CMS backend + payment rails/commerce engine + marketing automation + more!.
Per Lovable CEO @antonosika, 10% of the new websites created on the internet last month were built with Lovable. Wild stat!.

This is so true, especially in these bizarre times with many founders acting like pure mercenaries. We have a few CEOs in our portfolio who refuse to take any salary or only draw the minimum needed to qualify for health insurance. Mad respect for them!🫡.
Peter Thiel: The salary of a startup CEO is “incredibly predictive”. In this 2012 interview Thiel explains that one of the best questions an investor can ask is “What is the salary of the CEO?”. In his view, the right answer is less than $150k, even post Series A. “If you like

Outbound is Broken — and Why We’re Excited About Unifying the Sales Workflow ft. @unifygtm @austinh___ @HeggieConnor

Over the last decade, outbound sales followed a predictable formula. Companies hired more sales reps, bought more data, sent more emails and made more cold calls. And for a while, it worked. Tools...

Finding product–market fit is hard. But scaling growth? That shouldn’t be rocket science. For too long, Growth has been treated as an art—when in reality, it’s a data problem: targeting the right customer, at the right time, with the right message. Sounds simple, right? But.
Today, I’m thrilled to announce Unify’s $40M Series B led by Battery Ventures, with participation from OpenAI, Thrive, Emergence, and more just 9 months after our Series A. Our thesis: The best products no longer win, distribution does.1/

Over the last 18 months, ChatGPT and Perplexity have chipped away at Google Search traffic. Now, with Perplexity launching an AI browser, we’ll see if Chrome has a real moat—or if it’s next to be disrupted. Apple’s still on the sidelines. The game’s heating up. 🔥.
We're excited to finally release our next big product after launching Perplexity in 2022: Comet. Comet is a browser that's designed to be a thought partner and assistant for every aspect of your digital life: work and personal.
