Amidst the pandemic, good environmental work continues. 🌎Starting construction on the largest restoration project to date at the Salton Sea is a *long time* in coming. It’s a point of progress at the Sea to protect people and nature— with much more work ahead of us.
Construction to create a 4,110-acre network of ponds and wetlands at the Salton Sea began this week. This project will provide important fish and bird habitat and suppress dust emissions to improve regional air quality as the Salton Sea recedes.
