I wonder how America is doing in the parallel reality where we don't demolish our cities

SF could have its own version with @vision_blvd once the Central Freeway stub is demolished for better connectivity and new housing opportunities.

We can do so much here in San Francisco once we get rid of the outdated & unsafe Central Freeway stub. @vision_blvd.
Robert Orr & Associates' design for three blocks of parking, re-platted into small lots affordable to small, young local developers, builders, and investors.

We could replace the Central Freeway stub with something like this and meet our housing goals while stitching neighborhoods back together. @DanielLurie / @vision_blvd.
City streets should be like this: -Transit in the center -Bus lanes -Bike lanes -Lined with trees (Very important) Never too late to fix them.

Mood: You wasted millions of dollars trying to influence an election and then find yourself under the Central Freeway. Itâs sad, itâs dark, itâs cold, itâs loud, it smells weird, the ketamine has worn off⊠đ

MISSONACTIVITES: What a messâa driver, possibly under the influence, hit a car on the 101, fled, got chased, hit another car on Doboce and Mission, crashed, and even took out a streetlight.

Vision Blvd is here to stay until the Central Freeway (aka âThe Stubâ) is removed once and for all. Since the dawn of this community effort, we have worked to secure support from various neighborhood associations, merchant associations, community benefit districts, nonprofits,

Shoutout to the gorgeous grassy tram in the Garden District of New Orleans đ„° Hmm⊠come to think of it, San Francisco could benefit from a grassy tram on a certain corridor⊠canât remember which one exactly⊠đ€
Center-running electric trams running on grassy tracks in America? This is the kind of sustainable transportation innovation that can only be constructed in the futuristic world of [checks note] 1893.
