yeah but MAGAs think taxes, fees, inspections, and tolls related to driving are illegal so it’s actually patriotic to evade them.
Toll evasion cost the turnpike $170 million dollars last year, but no one calla for defunding the turnpike because of that.

A really unfortunate aspect of the SEPTA cuts is that it will only serve to further entrench Philly’s car culture and make any improvement of the streets and built environment for pedestrians and cyclists even harder than before.
Old City streets…. Imagine this with the cars gone and pocket parks instead 🤔

I grew up in this house. This was the dream. An affordable house. This is the universal story of New York. People came here from all over, and by their sheer force of will they were going to be a success. That dream is slipping away in New York today, but it doesn’t have to.

If I had access to capital, I’d probably buy a couple Amfleet I sets when they’re retired and convert them to quick launch proof of concept pod-based sleeper trains for east coast and midwest routes.
