All the #wx nerds and #weather fans on Twitter who are waking up in the face of the massive cuts at NOAA and agencies such as the #NWS / #SPC should come to BlueSky where people are not completely unaware or out to simply celebrate the destruction of critical wx information.

I cannot stress how detrimental it’ll be across the board to cut funding to NOAA and the NWS. This also applies to groups such as NCAR which are largely in whole or part funded by the NSF and feed their data/models back into the whole system. #weather #wx.

So Trudeau repeated the plan to Trump today that he repeated to him last week. You know what changed with the Canadian border plan? Zero. The difference today was that the markets were tanking and Trump didn't want the loss + higher goods costs. Trump backed off #tariff.

I just had a good call with President Trump. Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. Nearly.

Canada a country of 40 million people consumes more American goods than China and is Americas #1 export market. Mexico is #2 - Americans sell more to Canada & Mexico than anywhere else on the planet. Economically it makes no sense to chase away your best & biggest customers. End.

Farmers need to spend more to plow, sow, fertilize and maintain their crops. Farmers then have a harder time selling their crops to their export markets due to retaliatory tariffs. Overtime this drives their customers away, now they have to produce less and/or get a gov't subsidy.
