The statement says Ont’s “pre-emptive” offer is $3B to be equity partners in projects & access services, $70M for training and $10M in scholarships. “Our First Nations leadership will need to consider the specifics as we continue this dialogue with the provincial government.”.

In a statement issued after today’s meeting with Premier Ford, the Anishinabek nation says they asked for discussions with Ontario “to ensure that our First Nations benefit directly as full equity partners from all projects and resources extracted from their lands.” #onpoli.
