Today is the day!! The 2nd edition of Streamlit for Data Science is officially launched. I've used @streamlit basically every day since the 1st edition came out, and i'm so pumped to put all the lessons on paper.

I read @dwarkesh_sp's scaling era this weekend and .1. find it insane that it is out in print only at the end of july vs was available on kindle last month .2. loved it as someone who has played with models since gpt2 but knows jack shit about how LLMs actually work.

saw a chalkboard at the park so naturally, I walked up to ask whatās up. turns out itās a math club where they just hang out + solve math problems and vibe. they were really nice (and even gave me a la croix and sunscreen!) . i love sf nerds āļøš«¶

I just released the 1.0 version of st-paywall today, which now gets thousands of downloads per month (!!!). The biggest new feature is actually a removal, relying on the new @streamlit native authentication. pip install st-paywall to get started!.

All the ex-FB FB groups going CRAZY today.
I distinctly recall when, days after the 2016 election, Zuck posted FB would start adjudicating truth in posts. As a former employee, I was shocked that a company focused on free speech for all would spin up a censorship apparatus. That finally ends.
