It's cute how subtly Stockholmers glance at you and then get all nonplussed if you catch them in the act. In sharp contrast to Berliners who stare unabashedly.

Nothing worse than the nri who relocated back to India for family reasons but says he moved because he believes in the 'India story'.

Here's what I meant by that tweet last night. LLMs have opened up an entirely new set of challenges in this space. I spent the whole last week fine-tuning semantic models for text-to-sql. As if writing a yaml model wasn't hard enough, writing it for AI has taken the problem

Said this in Feb. And it's become true now with the CLI based coding agents. It's more ergonomic. I am pretty sure that IDEs are next in line. The side bar is about to be moved to the middle of the screen. Someone has to do it first and others will follow.
The way things are going, the AI sidebars and floating chat windows will likely take the center stage in UIs by the end of this year. I won't be surprised if UIs change massively to become chat first and largely eliminate point-and-click.

Everyone wants enterprise b2b ACV, no one wants 6-12 month sales cycles, 200 point security questionnaires, redlines, net 60, white glove onboarding, services partner ecosystem, last minute procurement negotiation step, 14 page MSAs, champions that leave the company. 90-180 day
speaking to my b2b heart: @gdb says āboring enterprise problemsā are still massively underserved by AI startups rn

Is anyone actively 'using' a text-to-sql agent at work? Care to share your experiences?

New types of systems are as much about UX as they are about capabilities. Notice how AI coding agents advocated using a plan-execute-review process and no one blinked an eyelid about why we were going back from Agile to Waterfall (actually some did complain but briefly). I

Nice. But let's talk when I can safely refactor-rename a variable across a project.
Python in Zed is finally⦠fun š ⢠basedpyright by default ⢠auto-activated venvs + per-project interpreters ⢠monorepo-ready (multi-venv? yup) ⢠run/launch configs that donāt fight you Bonus: ty + Ruff, out of the box (@astral_sh)
