Morecambe FC had to assemble a new squad this week. They have a new novice manager and had two empty spots on the bench. And they just scored a 98th-minute winner in their first game after they finally got rid of their former owner. A brilliant story for this weekend.

It was a real pleasure to be on a Hanover Sport panel with @McConalogue last night. It was a great discussion on the future of Irish sport - the challenges and the opportunities ahead. I shall watch with interest.
Investing in the future development of Irish Sport was the topic of the panel discussion at Lansdowne Football Club organised by Hanover. It was a good opportunity to talk about the Government’s strategic sporting priorities & about how participation in sport can be improved.
