This is their story. The challenge has just begun. But my god I'm delighted for everybody I met last weekend. Righteous limbs ahoy!.

A year ago, I interviewed @Coventry_City owner Doug King. He expressed a deep desire to bring the stadium and club together as one, but knew that it wouldn't be easy. Now he has managed it. Brilliant news.

The boy @MichaelHincks nails it: going public against Nottingham Forest's owner won't go well and suggests a complete breakdown .

Publicly admitting to a falling out with the club’s owner? That never ends well

Nottingham Forest are back baby.
Very worrying comments from Nuno Espírito Santo at #nffc today. Said he and owner Evangelos Marinakis are “not as close” and the “relationship has changed”. More to follow later @TeleFootball.

I went to Leeds to try to understand the psychological headfuck of supporting Leeds United, a club where expectation and reality punch each other in the face.

Said on @forestfocuspod yesterday that I much preferred a loan to buy arrangement that allowed us to road test and push cost to next year. And that's exactly what it is.
🚨 Nottingham Forest reach agreement with Juventus to sign Douglas Luiz. Deal for 27yo #Juve midfielder loan + buy mechanisms for #NFFC at ~€30m; obligation based on games played or option if Brazil int’l falls short of required appearances @TheAthleticFC

Another plug for On The Road #2, on the saving of Morecambe FC.
I went to Morecambe, because Morecambe FC have been saved. It is a victory for those who fought hardest but we must also ask: what does being saved look like? .

The point here is that being "saved" isn't just about a new name above the door, as important as it was to remove the owner. It's about rebuilding and monitoring new owners. One problem has gone; others haven't.

Everton were rotten last night. David Moyes is right to demand more from the club, but the vice versa is also true. They were passive, narrow, blunt and their only plan seemed to be to hope that Leeds would run out of steam.

The first weekend of Everton's future began with a dismal reminder of their uninspiring past in a 1-0 defeat to newly-promoted Leeds
