William Irwin is an absolute gent, he was always quietly and tirelessly working away behind the scenes. Never to the forefront but making a difference to people’s lives. We need more William Irwins in politics, hope he has a happy and healthy retirement

I made a statement today in the Assembly outlining previously unknown details about the incident at the Police Ombudsman’s home. Serious concerns exist about her fitness for office & her security clearance. There was immense public interest in favour of making this statement.

Unionism’s lost decade: How a flawed decision 10 years ago precipitated a collapse for the ideology which built Northern Ireland. If the next decade sees unionism decline at the same rate as the last 10 years, then it will be down to just over 30% support. https://t.co/qh0EpXqKry

On the podcast a few weeks ago I said Ireland and Irish nationalism has a problem with antisemitism. If anyone doubted the truth of that statement this last week has only served to prove the point.

BREAKING: Israel 🇮🇱 WILL participate in Eurovision this year! Despite so many attempts to discriminate against Israeli artists, the competition still voted for Israel to stay. Hate didn’t win today.

EXC - I've seen a leaked policy document from Labour in opposition which sets out how to approach assisted dying. The document sets out how it could be introduced as a private member’s bill, suggesting that would still allow “heavy influence” for the government in the process

Complete abuse of the system by the PM: "It is now clear that the process in the Commons bypassed the usual processes for developing laws of this magnitude and that everyone has been misled about the nature and origin of the bill"! And the Lords should just acquiesce?!
