More people should understand this point.
Bernie Sanders explained TWENTY YEARS AGO how Republicans got voters to vote against their own interests. THIS is how they win elections AND why red states are the worst in healthcare, income, education, infrastructure, per capita crime & quality of life.

As I noted, perhaps the largest theft in history.
Republicans want to do away with Health Care and SNAP food assistance to give billionaires a tax cut. They aren't the pro-life party; it is the Billionaires Club. #BilliinaireTaxBailout

Yep. Couldn’t be more plain. Rich people seeking to eliminate key programmes, funded by citizens over many years. Shrink the state. Steal from tax payers. Help the rich become richer. Increase suffering in the less well off. Wicked.
And there it is. Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.”

Almost as if defending Ukraine against invasion helped bring about the liberation of Syria from a dictatorship. (I’m not saying their future is bright by the way).
I'm watching with elation the fall of Assad and his barbaric regime. But also remembering in sorrow the many Syrians who needlessly lost their lives over the last decade because Putin, Iran, and Hezbollah propped up these killers, and we failed to stop them. 1/ THREAD.
