Question: What are the best books or writings on the economics of climate change, and how climate change may impact the U.S economy and capital markets?.

My guess is that the right deal to acquire SVB would generate attractive returns for the buyer, not to mention the long-term goodwill and admiration of our industry. 6/6.

I’m also thinking of all of the startup founders who will be faced with highly consequential decisions to remain solvent over the next week, through no fault of their own. Those who have the power to remedy this situation (government and private sector) should do so. 5/6.

Instead of pointing fingers, we should collectively pursue solutions/institutions that ensure group action for the collective good in the future. 4/6.

But individual firms are compelled to maximize their own well-being if they don’t have assurance that others are operating for the good of the collective. While unfortunate, this is no one’s fault individually, it's a result of the system we've created. 3/6.

What this crisis has made vividly clear to me is that the VC/startup industries suffer from a collective action problem. All of us would undoubtedly have been better off banding together to ensure that SVB remained solvent and weathered this storm. 2/6.

My thoughts are with the great people of SVB like @dmdehrey, @jrmarshall32, and many more who do so much to help our ecosystem thrive. Since we began @645ventures, they've extended a hand to us and many of our startups. It’s tough to see them go through this. 1/6.
